What it needs is careful writing, two honest translations, and an app that opens the same on a plane as it does at a desk — which is why every profile, both language versions, the images, the search index and the matching game are compiled into the download.
That also settles what is for sale inside it: nothing. No god behind a paywall, no advert between profiles, no coins for hints in the game. The app asks for one thing on first launch, which is the language you would like to read in, and nothing after that.
Entries describe a religion as historians and Egyptologists record it — beliefs, practices, iconography, and the places where the evidence is thin or the readings disagree.
Gods, Myths and the Journey Beyond
Ra sails the sun across the sky; Anubis weighs the heart against a feather. Netjeru is a guide to the deities who ruled the sky, the river, the desert and the world beyond death. Each god and goddess gets a full profile: their domains and powers, the symbols and animals sacred to them, the myths they belong to, how they were worshipped, and where they sit in a very large pantheon. Alongside it: the creation stories, the journey through the underworld, the weighing of the heart, and the beliefs that held a civilisation together for three thousand years.
There is a game woven in as well — a memory matching challenge pairing each god with a symbol or a domain, so the pantheon settles into your head through play rather than rote learning. Browse gods by realm, search for anyone, and bookmark the ones that fascinate you.
How Egypt wrote a fraction
Not a god in sight — this is the arithmetic the scribes who copied those myths actually used. Egyptian mathematics had almost no way of writing "two sevenths". Every fraction had to be a sum of different unit fractions, each with one as its numerator, and working out which ones was a craft in itself.
Arithmetic, bars and no mythology at all — this bench cannot name a single god or tell you one myth. Netjeru is the part that can, in English and Slovenian, entirely on your handset.
